I am a German multi-instrumentalist focussing on percussion, guitar and experimental music. I have a background in Jazz, Afro-Cuban and West African musical styles. Music has made me travel to many countries, as a learner and as a performer. This later lead me to study Ethnomusicology in the UK.
I am interested in understanding the healing properties of music as a universal language. I run music workshops for people who suffer from mental health issues, I support disadvantaged musicians in Senegal. I use music and performance as a creative tool to teach life skills to children. I also apply my artistic approach to working as a German teacher for the Goethe Institut.
I compose, play in bands, link up with dancers, choreographers and improvisers and I perform experimental music on porcelain instruments.
